Unique Analysis Tools for Traders

After trading futures for several years, I starting coming up with questions that could not be answered with standard, broker-provided tools. "What tends to happen when a fututres curve is inverted?" "How can I tell when seasonality exists? And when does it become 'stretched', providing a potentially very powerful trade opportunity?" Without ever analyzing the data myself, I was just guessing, and had to believe (or doubt) what others said. Looking at raw price data for thousands of contracts was not much help. I needed to a USEFUL way to visualize the data. Since I couldn't answer my questions with standard analysis tools, I created my own.

These tools help with the following:

  1. Gaining EDGE by understanding a market's CONTEXT
  2. Finding trade opportunities
  3. Understanding historical effects of changes in term structure of individual futures markets
  4. Understanding historical effects of changes in term structure for the US Treasury Yield Rate Curve (the "Yield Curve")
  5. Truly experiencing the effects of proper RISK MANAGEMENT using trading simulations

Many traders seem to concentrate on price action alone, looking at lagging indicators that are built on past price action. These tools provide literally a 3D view of ALL FUTURE DELIVERY MONTHS while also visualizing hundreds or even thousands of the same forward curve going back in history, which allows us to find trading opportunities others cannot see.

I hope these tools can help you in your trading journey as much as they have helped me in mine.

To good trading,
Todd Gill
